CEO of Promon Engenharia is one of the speakers in Casa Rio – Urban Infrastructure in Brazil

From March to September 2016, the Casa Rio will gather about 3,000 business leaders and authorities in 11 conferences on the most important economic sectors in Brazil.

Finding ways of leveraging investments and the major projects of post-Olympics urban infrastructure were the issues of the Casa Rio conference, with the theme "The Road to New Investments in Urban Infrastructure in Brazil", which took place on May 30 at the Museu do Amanhã.

At the time, Felipe Lima, CEO of Promon Engenharia, spoke at the first talk session of the "Panel of Sector Leaders", which addressed alternatives and solutions to accelerate and optimize the process and governance of infrastructure investments in Brazil.

"During the first talk session, we shared the views on what are the key elements of governance and management as well as the recommendations for greater effectiveness of infrastructure investments in the country, focusing on lessons learned and elements necessary for the resumption of investors confidence. We also addressed the newly launched Investment Partnerships Plan (PPI) and how it can contribute to attracting investors and to create a consistent and technically based management model, which results in a pipeline of well-structured projects. Moreover, it was widely discussed the key role of technical expertise of engineering and technology in designing good projects and their significant impact on the life cycle of the projects", said Felipe.

Besides Felipe Lima, were present in the first talk session of the panel: Henrique Costa Pinto, superintendent of Project Structuring at BNDES; Maria Eduarda Berto, director-general of Estruturadora Brasileira de Projetos (EBP); Luciano Schweizer, chief specialist in Financial Markets at Banco Inter-Americano de Desenvolvimento (BID) and Julio César Bueno, partner at Pinheiro Neto Advogados.
