A closed entity that provides supplementary security, Fundação Promon de Previdência Social was created in 1975 and was one of the first institutions of this kind in Brazil. The foundation constitutes one of the elements that compose the ideal of “community of professionals” adopted by Promon, as well as the stock model.
The Foundation grants benefits as set forth in a basic plan and in a supplementary plan. The first plan is fully sponsored by the companies of the organization. The second plan is supported by optional contributions made by participants, enhancing the benefits granted in accordance with the basic plan. The Foundation, therefore, provides a balanced combination of advantages for its participants through, respectively, a plan that establishes the grant of definite benefits and other plan that provides benefits based on definite contributions.
